Why I’m Doing This – and Why I’m Tired of the Usual Bullshit

A post from the Thoughtmine – by Mark Frey.

I waited a long time to start this.
Not because I had nothing to say, but because I didn’t want to say just anything.

The internet is full of posts that all sound the same.
Motivation tips. Productivity hacks. “You got this.”
Most of it is noise – polished, pleasing, empty.

I don’t want to add to that noise.

I’m not writing this blog to teach anything.
I’m writing it because some things need to be said.
Because sometimes, writing is the only way to shut up the chaos in your own head.

I believe in thoughts that don’t shine, but stay

I believe in sentences that feel uncomfortable.
In words that don’t ask to be liked, but ask to be understood.

That’s why this blog exists.

It’s called Thoughtmine because I think the best thoughts aren’t on the surface.
You have to dig for them. Sometimes it's work. Sometimes it's worth it.

Why I’m done with the usual content

Because most of it’s fake.
People giving advice they don’t follow.
Captions that sound like AI on sedatives.
Shiny quotes with nothing behind them.

I’m not here to be a brand voice.
I’m here to write what I would tell myself — if I were honest.

What you can expect here

No schedule.
No sales tactics.
No “value-packed tips.”

Just thoughts. Honest ones.
Sometimes rough. Sometimes clear.
The kind that don’t trend, but maybe stay.

And if it’s not your thing?
Scroll on.
This is a mine, not a museum.
